Felt a bit better , sun was out so hopped on bus and went to Town. Of course as soon as I did that the sun fled the scene and we were back to grey skies again. Took 64 pics on the K-x and I've kept 59 for a better look at them .

Never managed this one with the previous cameras . I realise there's a lot wrong with it , but it's a good start

Should say - this is straight out of the camera - no tweaking or anything has been done . What I got is what you see

Just the opposite down here Techno, I intended going out this morning but it looked a bit dull, now its brightened up but the light will be in the wrong place for what I had in mind at least you got 64 more pics than I did,

I'm not sure about this. It took me few seconds to work out that it's a peacock. Maybe try shooting from the side more and longer focal length to get close in on the bird's head? The wall in front does nothing for me too.

Can't do anything about the wall/parapet - it's there And I only took the 18-55 with me - that was at 40 . I think to get the head properly is going to be difficult - I'll need the Samsung for that . Can always try - fortunately the street is pedestrianised

It is much simpler, go into Frasers across the street and ask if you can take a pic from one of their windows

I think the wedding list office might be or was the place.

Now that's a brilliant idea

Once I can sort things out , trying to play with one in PSE at the moment and it's driving me bats , I'll put up some of the type of thing I really enjoy getting - bits of stonework - and we have some lovely stuff

I enjoyed this morning's wander - the first one I've been able to do with the K-x - all the other outings since it came home were to try and get specific things for my class - this lot are all for ME

Now here's a challenge... the sun rises in the east behind the sculpture...
