I'm in two minds about these things. I might well consider spending the extra £30 at SRS to get the bundle of the (genuine) adapter, set of Eneloops and a charger along with the K-r assuming the offer is still running this time next month. I've no doubt the rechargeable battery is fine once bedded in but the ability to run on plain old AAs in a crisis appeals.
With the K-m I've always kept a fresh pack of Energiser Lithium AAs in the camera bag as I know they won't self-discharge and if my existing set fail in the middle of nowhere I can just slot replacements in.
