i have a retrospective 30 cost £138 but it holds everything when needed and as you say it does not look like your typical camera bag. at the moment have just come back from a short break so all my stuff is still in it ,that is :- K5 with 16-50 attached,10-17 fe,sigma 10-20,da 55-300,da40,fa50,sigma105, 360 flash, full pack of cokin filters and adapters ,holder, spare batteries, remotes, gorillapod zoom with ball head . may not be billingham but at the price size for size i reckon it is pretty good and it comes with rain cover when needed

Have a look at Morrisphoto if you haven’t already done so they are usual completive.

Thanks both for the advice.
It looks like the 30 holds a lot of gear, I think I'll have to have a look at a 20 and a 30 side by side before deciding - it's that compromise between bulkiness and capacity!
I've just looked at the MorrrisPhoto site - they seem fairly competitive - But what suprises me is that nobody seems to be undercutting by much. When I was in Photo Retail (many years ago ) Camera Bags had a fairly high profit margin, so were frequently price cut. I guess that Think Tank have launched into the high-end sector where they can control pricing better (not to mention that they also seem like a quality product).

Hey LennyBloke, Signed up to offer any advice you may need (but not to come in spam canons blazing!)... I work over at thinkTank, but actively use the Retro line day to day, mostly the smaller one now, (5 and 10) but when I was shooting music in London, I was mostly using the 20... (5D / 70-200)
You're right, not exactly cheap... but lifetime w'tee etc....
I had a poke around to see if I could find a gear list of yours - failed! sorry... If you want me to post a pic of the two, side by side or anything - yell out.
The price thing - we try to stick with a recommended selling price globally, to make it fair for all that sell our stuff... I hope that helps explain a bit

The good thing with Morrisphoto is that it is not a great distance to drive, they have a vast range in stock and expect you to arrive with all you gear to test before you buy.

Hi Sime - good to see you on the forum. The gear list wouldn't help in advising - I'd need a real tank instead of a Think Tank if I took it all out at once. Jim is right - I need to visit a stockist that has the range so I can try various combinations.
I understand the pricing model, and from what I've seen they do look quality bags. I hadn't realised there was a lifetime warranty as well.
And I agree on the Pinestone comments

Take your charge card and go to Morrisphoto. I challenge you not to max it out. They are friendly and helpful people but not at all pushy. They have more bags than Tesco's and like jimmoore said they'll expect you to bring all your gear.
As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

Just listed one in the classifieds here. Only selling as it is too large for my small kit.

I saw one in a local camera shop recently and they appear to be well made, well designed and don't look obvious as a camera bag. They are not cheap though!
Interested in opinions of people who have been using one for a little while, also does anyone know if these are sold cheaper anywhere (they seem to vary very little in price).
Thanks in advance
