The View From Six Miles High

Taken on a recent holiday flight UK-Greece. Spent a few hours when back home matching satellite imagery with what I captured.

1.Zagreb, Croatia



2. Zagreb Airport



3. Slansko Jezero, lake that translates simply as 'Salt Lake'...about 617m above sea level, Montenegro



4. Gulf of Kotor, Kotor town itself to extreme right of image, cruise ship visible was MSC Magnifica...just leaving after morning alongside



5. Sveti Nikola Island (largest island in Montenegro...about 2km long), offshore beach resort of Budva.



6. Bar (port) and Lake Scutari (in Italian). Scutari is the largest lake in Southern Europe and is approx 2/3rds in Montenegro and 1/3rd in Albania



7. Coast just north of Durres (2nd largest city in Albania)
