The Perfect RAW converter

I thought it might be interesting to see if we on the forum could come up with the "perfect" RAW converter by picking the best components from the various packages available. Hopefully the development teams are keeping an eye on forums like ours to see what the users actually want and like.

I like the way that RAWshooter allows you to prioritise pictures and view only those that you assigned to a particular level (1, 2, or 3).

I am still coming to terms with Silkypix, which blurs the line between RAW conversion and image editing. It's interface needs sorting out to make it easier to use.

I agree with version 2, but version 3 is much easier. You have to think Japanese, and you're ok

Im happy with photoshop and camera raw,and i still use both versions of raw shooter.

Has anyone here got anything good to say about lightroom?

I like the Pentax lab software under windows (silkypix based?), I find it nice and easy to use while being powerful enough for my needs at the moment.

Under Linux I use UFRAW, which has some excelent automatic features including an auto curves adjustment. It has no batch mode, but overall I think its my favourite.
