Hello Pentaxians...

Now i have the opportunity of photographing a real woman. They are quite rare I've heard and I want to get it right! I want it to be super flattering as she is Rubinesque andI want that perfect perspective control. I'm not sure how far away i will be, but she will have her legs on view. Real ladies legs.

Any ideas?

Your Tamron 17-50 should do the job nicely.

Yes... 50 or 90mm. That's my thoughts too. It's a friend of mine who also happens to be female (I'll stop this now). The Tamron at 50mmm is a standard for me when doing portraits, the Tamron (90mm can be a bit low on contrast as its the 135mm (well they are years old) when photographing anything at a distance. I can sort it in software to an extent but...

I may shoot it in my kitchen. Grey background and she will be in a swimsuit type of effort. The other option is outdoors. I found a translucent bed cover from a pound shop that will act as a huge soft box, when clamped to stands.

A shot inspired by this:

Does anyone else dream of having a Pentax 645D??? More than any other camera in fact.

Ok that looks like it was shot with a long fast zoom possibly a 70-200mm 2.8

The 50-135 Pentax lens will be ideal for this shoot...

I got good results at work the other day (Leap-Photos) with both my FA50-1.4 and D-Xen100mm 2.8 macro...

For full-body at 100mm the working distance was a way back... Looked great but I had the space for it to work...
Working distance of the 50mm made it easier to communicate with the subject so it gave more keepers...

The wide angle of the 17-50mm will make the legs look longer and elongate
Only if you're shooting from the bottom of the legs (the model could be laying down). Shooting from the head down will shorten them.
