I was in the front garden taking some test shots with a potential lens purchase & noticed this bee working away, so of course I had to bother him a little.

Bob, the image looks excellent, was it handheld?

Thanks,

I was using a tripod (head not locked though) I upped the iso as Mr. bee here was very busy indeed & I wanted to freeze the motion.

Not yet. I have been given the very kind offer of using it for a few days before I make my mind up. So I'm hoping for some decent weather over the weekend & early next week so that I can put it through its paces.

So which lens is it, apart from 135mm?

Sigma 70-200mm HSM - I'm aware of it's pitfalls vs the Tamron but it's being offered to me at a very attractive price & a free trial, so I'm going to try it out & see how it goes. This bee shot looks ok to me
