Startling colour contrast. The "lens" polarization works really well. It also suits mono under added colour filtration. Looks great large.

Best regards

Fascinating. As K10D says, startling colour contrast.

very impressive, colour, contrast absolute sharpness in the dept of field
and a great composition of symmetrical and opposing lines
very well thought out and executed
You should send the ThamesWey a print pschlute , with the price tag discretely tucked away in the fine print of the accompanying letter

Brilliant shot, the composition is spot-on and the colours are eye-popping.

I notice a slight halo around the red towers and along the top line of the main building, I suspect this is an artefact from processing but I'm not sure?

Kind Regards

Hi David, yes the halos are a result of brightening up the water tanks as they were in shadow for the shot. I aim to deal with them before I send the image to the printers

The print itself is 24"x16". The frame is a simple DIY one I bought online. I change the prints often so it is easy to take apart and attach the print to the mounting board with acid-free hinging tape. I did get my local framer to make me some nicer mounting boards in different colours so I can vary the theme.

I get my prints produced by DS Colour Labs in Stockport. They do a great range of papers. This one is Permajet FB Gold Silk 315, a low texture paper, and works perfectly for this photograph.

Thanks Pschlute , for the details of print and frame as I’ve been thinking about starting a few prints small at first until I get a feel for what comes back from the lab.
I’ve read that to keep the image a bit brighter during PP so that the print might match better of what was intended, I’m enjoying the digital world 😅
