Heswall is a town in Wirral, in the county of Merseyside, England. Administratively, it is a ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. At the time of the 2001 Census, the total population of the ward was 16,012 (male: 7,474; female: 8,53, which included the nearby villages of Barnston and Gayton. The population of the town of Heswall itself was 7,750. And on the cost is these boats that have been left to rot.

Wasn't that long since I stayed in Heswall, I certainly didn't come across those

Nice shots Shaun, although I'm not over keen on the HDR (not my thing)
B&W would work well, no doubt you'll be trying it.
My Names Alan, and I'm a lensaholic.

And is 10 minutes up the reoad from me, but I've never even ben to the shore there, let alone taken any pictures like these.

Like Alan, I'm not keen on HDR, but I like number 1 a lot.

I'll have to get myself over there at some point.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

My favourite is number three. I think it's because the composition leaves space around the subject.

Very impressive Shaun. I'm not a great fan of overdone HDR either but when done with restraint it can be very effective. These have great quality and I love the moody skies.

These are superbly shot and processed Shaun, very impressive indeed. I have a small issue with number 3 in that the back of the boat is cut off, but I am being very picky here. If these were mine I would be very proud.

Interesting even though I don't like HDR effects. Good captures.

You can tell it's Heswall anywhere else and they would
have been set on fire long ago

Someone I know who lives in Heswall once told me that they do
actually have vandals..... they keep knocking their
golf balls off the golf course into their garden

Hi Shaun

Nice shots, I know Heswall and have spent time there but did not know of these
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Nice set - There's something fascinating about seeing things in decay, even if it is not always the most uplifting way of seeing things - makes you think though. I like the processing in number 3 here, I think it works well for this subject, although if I were being picky, like David, it would be nice to get the tail tip of the boat...

Very high standard though, as ever - nice one

Cheers
