The Black & White City

We visit the beautiful city of Chester a couple of times a year (highly recommended for food and drink and a little retail therapy) and rather than lug a DSLR and several lenses around I take the Ricoh GRIII. The problem is that it is such a picturesque little city that quite often the photos are pretty similar on each visit, so this time I've tried to see it a little differently and coupled with Monochrome processing I've come up with this little set. Hope you like some of them ....

I will go there one day. The bicycle frame does the job for me though I'd like to see it with and without that great big van - I suspect that it would not be as good without it?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

'Hope you like some of them.' Ahem, how about all of 'em? Lovely work here. I do so like b&w images, you've captured the location so well.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Great set. Like the processing as B&W. Favourites - numbers 2 and 8.

Number 8 for me, all great shots tho. Lovely place Chester.
Is that a real pile of candle wax in no. 5 ?

Again, thanks for all the comments - it's one of our favourite visits!

And yes Loadoftripe that is a real waterfall of wax - it's at a great little place on the Chester rows called "Paysan", they serve a superb range of wines and do a great cheese board and chips. To top it off upstairs is a place called "the cavern of the curious gnome" they sells Belgian beers and a few decent real ales - my beer of choice on this visit was Racing Pigeons, a lovely session hazy pale ale.
