Excellent photo of one ugly bird! Love the four tulips, beautiful variety.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

First rate camera work on the bird. there's any number of things the lens could have focused on. You got it right. The contrast between the white and defocused green in the tulips shot is lovely.

A stunningly sharp set of images, what lens did you use? I am not quite sure about the blur effect in the background of the bird picture, it's a little too grainy and detracts from the wonderful clarity of the bird. I really like the flower shot, the only alteration I would make is to dispose of the twig top right hand side, it keeps distracting me from the subject.

Lens for the bird was the 50-135mm at 135mm f/5.6

The White Quartet was the 100mm macro at f/2.8

I never saw the twig until you mentioned it....
