TAMRON SP 90 2.8 (the only non-Pentax lens I swear by)

A*300 4 (a beauty but it is a proper chunky monkey)

FA24-90 (I haven't fully tested this lens yet)

KX or MX? For sheer beauty the KX gets my vote but for absolute reliability then it would be the MX.

I have gravitated back to SLRs/digital from rangefinders, which have taught me to travel light (and use available light as much as possible).

My kits are now:

Film: MX body, Pentax SMC-M lenses 28/2.0, 35/2.8 and 50/1.7, 1.5x DOI converter.

Digital: 24/2.8AF Sigma, 50/1.7F Pentax, Kenko 1.5x AF converter.

I tend to shoot indoors, environmental portraits, and close, so longer lenses tend not to be a requirement, though I do have the usual range of zooms from 18mm to 300mm.

well i could probly survive with an ME super 50mmf1.2 and SMC 70-210 f4

super A + A drive 35-105mm or 28-135mm and starblitz pro5000 flash

i would also keep a tripod or monopod and a longer lens maybe a sigma 28-300 mm
i think my hardest sacrific would be motor drives i have used them to long to live without them

I wandered out for an hour or so last week shooting some film for a change. I just had a Z1p, Tokina ATX-Pro 20-35mm F2.8, a 50mm F1.2 and a Cokin red filter (I was shooting B&W). It made a nice change from shooting digital but I am missing the instant review of results.

I wandered about Edinburgh yesterday and just used the DS and 10-20mm despite having several other lenses with me. The weather wasn't the best (thunderstorms and torrential rain for some of it) but I did get a couple of fun shots e.g:




The 10-20 is great for a single walkabout lens - you can even get fun candids with it by holding it down at your side and snapping away as folks don't notice.
