I thought the ones around La Mancha were the best! Great photos Ems and I love the mono's, still Dutch windmills are better though
Emma, the second shot is head and shoulders above the others for me. The BW processing really suits the sky.

A good set Emma but the second shot for me. B&W seems to suit this one

A nice set Thaxted is only about 5 miles from my house! The 2nd photo is definitely the pick of the bunch for me.
Nice shots of the windmill, but you were unlucky with the timing as that 4th sail only fell off a couple of weeks ago! The local papers had a field day "Windmill nearly kills passers by!" they proclaimed, although in the smal lprint it turned out the passers by were on the other side of the field
I'm surprised there isn't a guild hall shot here!!!!

I agree with the comments no.2 is definitely the best one.

Yeah the church is quite amazing for such a small place. Thaxted is also apparently a big deal in the Morris dancing world, the annual celebration of that is worth a visit too.
There is also a musical connection which I don't really understand, Gustav Holst used to live there (his house is on the high street and has a little plaque next to the door). Even today it has a disproportionate number of composers and conductors living there.
