Hi Brian,

From what I've read/seen about TFT's that looks okay - but I haven't got one, so can't offer any comparison.

I nearly always get my computer bits from www.ebuyer.com, and they have customer reviews of products on there - have a look to see if your potential monitor is there, and whether anyone has reviewed it, and see what they think.

22" though..., that would be nice (still got a 17" CRT).

Brian - you can't go on specs aloned for good image editing. Most of what you want comes down to colour fidelity and stability.
I got a Lacie 120 "Laframe" from ephotozineshop.com - a cheaper mailorder return. Spydered it's a great LCD.

Don't forget you also need to calibrate & use in very subdued lighting.

I've had other monitors that look "better" on spec, but were a complete pain to calibrate (especially in getting linear response).

Hope that helps!

Hi Guys

Thanks for the replies.

As you can imagine it's just past christmas plus a K10D purchase so this is going on my wifes store account its in the black at the moment so I can wangle a new monitor for meeeee , they only sell HP TFT's, no CRT's, there are some good and not so good reviews of HP TFT's.

I use an AG Neovo F-419 (19" at the moment which is pretty good, it's calibrated using a Heuy, I'll soon see HOW good it is when I get my first batch of prints back from ProAm. It's actually my stepson's old IBM P96 that's died so I was going to keep the new one and pass the Neovo to him.
Cheers
Brian.
