TFT display recomendations

I'm still using a 17" CRT and finding that I could use some extra room. Been looking and am quite tempted by the Dell 2007WFP 20" widescreen Ultrasharp, which uses a PVA screen if I remember rightly. Anyone got one of these?

Been using a 17" TFT on a laptop for the last couple of weeks, and assuming it's a TN type, I'm certain I don't want one of those for regular work - looks nice and sharp, but lighting very variable when moving about.

Just wanted to throw my monitor into the mix. I'm at the PC at home all day with work (been using monitors with computers for over 22 years now) and keep needing more room. This is the best monitor I've ever used and got it on the recommendation from Trusted Reviews:

It's big, but it's also very beautiful

I also got back into SLR photography thanks to the GX10 review on Trusted Reviews - I like them

Looks good, but you omitted to mention the biggest thing - the price.

Sorry about that. It certainly isn't insignificant. But it's an excellent monitor for anyone who has to use one for the majority of their day. For me then, it was worth the investment.

I thought that the 2007WFP uses a S-IPS panel.
Here is a review of it. It's certainly a very good TFT as well.
It is in German, but you can feed it through babelfish if you need to translate it.

You're right, I didn't take the time to check it before posting.

I was going to say this monitor is around £250 from www.ebuyer.com , but having just checked there, it's no longer listed...

Oh well, I'll change when I really have to.

Just got my NEC in... OMG how beautifull is this thing... My eyes are really loving me at this moment... I was a little scared on the reflective surface of this glare panel but in normal dim lighting there isn't a single problem.
The colour rendition is very good. I will check it with the monitor validator which comes with the eye-one in just a moment.

I got to an average dE of 0,71 which is pretty good. Obviously not to the standard of my IIyama (0,40) but I don't think it is noticeable.
