New to me (2nd hand) a couple of hand held shots in the garden. A lot to learn about this new fangled machine but not so far off the K5

The camera came with 16-85 attached but it has 1 of the 2 brass electrical elements missing , am hoping that can be repaired

These taken with Da 300.
C&C welcome.

Early days but AF is certainly faster, shutter is a lot quieter.

The only complaint I have with mine is that the playback zoom button (ISO button) is right next to the shutter release so that when you try to zoom, you inadvertently cancel the entire playback by hitting the far larger shutter release. Have you tried some hard crops yet? That big sensor really captures the detail.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Or you could use the rear wheel to zoom screen.

One thing just discovered is that whilst using the Da 300 with pentax 1.7 rear converter I can only get center or spot focusing, I`m unable to move the point which is a real shame for wildlife shots, the Da 300 on it`s own is fine.
C&C welcome.

Sorry Don, but way too much resolution and too much detail. You need to set the camera to weeny size jpeg around 640x400.

Best regards

Great images, it's a lovely camera, I upgraded from a K-x to a k3ii not too long ago and it was quite a revelation! I bet the DA300 fits nicely on it too.
