Teleconverter choice

I am looking to buy a 2 X teleconverter to couple up with my Sigma 150 - 5OOmm lens connected to my K200D. The Sigma 2 X DG for Pentax is close on 300 Euros which is a tad on the expensive side for me.

Given the gear I am thinking of coupling it up to and that I am happy to accept only manual focus would anyone recommend the following teleconverter:

B+W 2x-Telekonverter * Pentax K * MC 7 * Konverter * converter PK

I can pick this up for 69 euros on a German website.

Any advice on the above or alternate suggestions would be very welcome.

I would hesitate in attaching any 2x teleconverter to a Sigma 150-500. You will lose 2 stops of light (massive on a lens like this) and the IQ will be adversely affected.

Better to go with a 1.4x if you can find one.

Might get better results by just cropping.
