Very nice scenes but OTT with saturation and contrast in my opinion.

I thought it was just me.
The oversaturated colours spoil them in my opinion

Thanks friends, appreciate your comments. As an experiment these were shot JEPG, processed in LAB mode and sharpened ( pre and post ) in NIK . Agree, results are spoilt images

Super series of landscapes, nevertheless!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Some fair technical comments and a gracious response. My first thought was 'warmth'. You capture that well. Good to see and thanks for posting.

The saturation of jpegs can be turned down without a quality loss I think. What can't be brought back are the blown out sky and the solid black shadows.

Beautiful looking landscape!

It would be very interesting to see an example image straight out of the camera with no post processing.

Regards
Mike

Yes Jonathan, you are right. Recovery of blown out sky and shadow details not possible.

Lovely light in any case and jealous of that warmth compared to our cold British winter.
