Can't be sure about that. Do you have a Pentax fit Adaptall 2 mount as there isn't one with the lens.
You might be better looking for a manual focus Pentax macro lens which will be much more compact and will be sure to work 100% correctly.

Thanks for the reply
I have the PKA mount for the Tamron 19AH, I'm assuming therefore as that one allows shutter priority this one will. But I have been told that I shouldn't always assume things!

What makes me hesitate is that there are several types of Tamron 90mm - I wouldn't want to assume the one on offer will work OK with the Adaptall 2 mount.
Someone here might actually have one, so we may get a definitive reply.

I think Mike-P has this one and uses it with a PKA adaptall 2 mount.
I would say yes it would allow shutter priority and be surprised if it didn't. Mike will know, he has the all seeing eye

Mike...I am looking at the 72B for use with my K10. Would you reccommend this lens. I only intend to use manual focus. Presumably I would need an adaptal mount to Pentax. regards Ronald.

thanks Mike I have sourced a 72B but the adaptall is more difficult. There seems to be severaal mounts out there and I am concerned to get the right one and the adverts are not always detailed. I am told that the PK/A is difficult to find and costs about £50 or so which would pull my costs up £230 which leaves me wondering if a new Pentax fit lens would not be the better bet. Have you any views on this or know where I can best source the PK/A mount. Happy New year..and thanks again for your advice. Regards Ron.

£230 is too much for the lens and mount, infact I wouldnt be paying anywhere near that amout to be honest as you are in the realms of the newer AF lenses for that.
Mine cost me £75 with the mount 6 months ago, admittedly a very good price but personally I wouldnt be looking to pay more than about £140 for the combination with the PK/A mount being able to fetch £50+ on its own.
Time to start looking at Ebay or a new Tamron AF/Sigma 105mm I would say.

I have an adaptall 2 PK/A mount in stock - used of course, but in good order.
I was going to shove it on Ebay, but would take £35 including delvery.
Let me know if you want it - you can have first refusal!!

Hi Chris,
Does your adaptall adapter come boxed?
Provided it is 100% functional (I've come accross one once that didn't transmit the aperture correctly - by a third or a half stop - due to some mechanical issue), I would be a taker, if Ronald doesn't want it, obviously. (delivery in London)

All 3 of my PK/A mounts overexpose on all of my Adaptall 2 lenses, I think its a "Feature".

What realistically, should I be expecting to pay for a mint condition Adaptall 2, 90mm, f/2.5, 52b/52bb (without mount)?
