Tamron Adpatall Lens Paint & Rubber

Anyone know where I can get the proper paint for a refurb on a Tamron Adpatall lens? I'm looking for that grey colour paint and the black rubber bit which goes around the focuing ring.

Your best bet with the paint is probably to try your nearest model shop with a sample, they should be able to find something close enough. As for the rubber part, sad to say that you're unlikely to be able to get hold of one short of buying another lens for parts. You can buy various materials which might do as an alternative (leather, lizard hide, etc) but obviously these won't be original.

Hrm, well I'll see what I can do re the rubber bit that's still on there then. Alas! Good idea re the model kit. I'm the proud new owner of that tamron adaptall 400mm f4 lens that was on eBay. Would love to get it back up to it's former glory if it's not too much hassle.
