Has anyone found a method of attaching filters to the front of an Tamron Adaptall 17mm f3.5.? I think the lens is model 51B.

I think that is the model where the lens hood has filter threads.

Thanks Peter. I've not been able to locate a hood for mine. I'll keep looking.

do you think that centre ring takes the filter.

Barrie, according to the reviews here https://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/tamron-adaptall-2-sp-17mm-f-3-5-51b.htm...

the hood has a 82mm thread which can take filters. The reviews are not exactly complimentary about the hood itself though !

Just looked at the one I have and there is a thread in the hood.

Really must put my SP lenses up for sale one day, these days my eyes make manual focus a bit difficult.
No equipment list here but thanks for taking an interest. My Flickr
