If you sell an item here, put a picture up as well and a detailed description. As chrism_scotland says place the advert in the classifieds forum and realise that you very much limit yourself with not sending an item as not everyone that may be interested is able to pick the item up.
Pack it securely and send it via Special Delivery or Courier and you will not have a problem if the item is as described.
