Tamron 70-200mm f2.8

Looking at buying this lens. Any thoughts? General investigations on the web put this as a good lens...

From what I have read on several forums and user reports, It does a wonderful job. Solid, Very Good IQ, Reasonable priced.
The only negative point, that keeps coming back is :
Severe hunting in low light situations.(but that is subjective,imo.)

This lens looks like a good lens for my aviation pics too. Anyone have experience with this lens?

Just got mine not many shots yet. but if you'r going to point it skyward you will need weight training to build up your arms.

Not that I know of, on this forum.
But maybe you find some useful info here . About 15 pages of info. I think this lens turns up, a few times.

I have this lens, I love it, I also tried the Sigma 70-200mm HSM mk11, the Tammy beats the Sigma on image quality every time, the Sigma non hsm older lens was a good one but the newer version IMHO is no where near it yes it is a bit of a lump but it works in auto focus with the Kenko 1.5 The Sigma does not and the really nice bit is the Tammy is over £100 cheaper at SRS.
So if you want a Tamron 70-200 + a Kenko 1.5 and still have change.
