Not sure if its available in Pentax mount, possibly not given their recent announcements, but even so looks juicy..

That does look a bit tasty - I would be very interested in this potentially, but the indications are that it will only be Canon, Nikon and Sony mount. Still, you never know…

A review
Why, oh why, oh why can't we have the choice of this lens. I've sent a nagging email to Tamron but I'll probably get the standard reply

I sent them a nagging email too but got the standard PR 'thank you for your query, no we have no plans to release them in Pentax Mount.'

Why doesn't pentax just pony up the cash, stick a red ring on it, apply their own coating and a rubber o ring and do it in K mount? they've rebadged tamron before. makes perfect sense to me.

I have thought about trading in my Canon mount Sigma 50-500mm OS for the Tamron but what I would gain at the long end I would lose at the shorter (which I do actually quite often use). Add to that the Sigma has much better close focusing ability and I decided to stick with the 50-500mm.

Also have noticed on another forum a few Tamrons going back due to not focusing well at 600mm.
