Tamarisk Trees

These trees are very much part of our Cornish Coast landscape and I do love them so. A walk on Sunday from Perranuthnoe to Prussia Cove brought us to this duo.

Not to be rude or spoil the party, as I normally like (love) your work Lilly. Specially your mono's. In this case I like the composition, but I dislike the Hideous Disastrous Result of this HDR treatment. The sky looks like a post nuclear winter scene to me, and something obviously went wrong with the branches. Sorry I just can't see the added value of this treatment on this particular scene.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

In that case I owe you a BIG apology
But please explain to me what you have done PP wise. The colour of the sky and something in the leaves suggests something drastic.
I really would like to know.

Martin.

Nice composition & tones, bar the unsaturated parts in the branches & the sea, if these were sorted with the same toning it'd be very nice.

From the looks of it, the image has been unsaturated, apart from the blues/greens which have been altered to a warm hue, the branches therefore, have been left with a mix and match of grey and brown - thus producing an odd effect (one I like) that could be mistaken for HDR I guess..

Great image all the same, I like the processing, very powerful.
