Hi guys, I just spotted a Takumar 28mm f2.8 in KA mount on ebay with 5 minutes to go, so on impulse I bought it for less than a tenner. Question is did I do the right thing or will I regret it? I want to use it on my DS and know the limitations but have never had a Takumar. Seller says it is in VGC so, what do you think?

A Takumar in bayonet mount is a lower priced alternative to the SMC Pentax-A version. It has simplified construction (fewer lens elements) and no SMC coating. However, it should still give very good results.

At that price it's difficult to see how you can go wrong. Give it a try, if you like it that's great, if not, it can always go back on eBay!
Best regards, John

Thanks for the reply John, I suppose for a tenner if it doesn't perform so well at least I havn't lost much and I will have some fun playing around with it.
