Hi all, I've been wondering for a while wether to invest in a Tablet to use in portrait sessions linked with a Eye Fi card ans poss PK Tether to have an immediate download that the model could also view.

Does anyone know if this combo would work, has anyone used it successfully ?

I don't own a laptop, have a net book but the screen's quite narrow when viewing in portrait mode.

Suggestions / options very welcome.

Check this link out. This guy uses a K5 and transfers via eye Fi straight to an Ipad2...

Ipads are great but do not have inbuilt usb ports. Although you can buy a connector to overcome this.

I personally would go with an Android tablet for true tethering...

Hope this helps.

It IS true tethering (though a little slow if you use full resolution files) ! I do the same thing with my eyeFi and iPad/Laptop though haven't found a use for it in real life yet. I was thinking I could use it as a back-up system for my shooting on a proposed trip to NZ (from the iPad I could then send it via iCloud to home and also drop them into DropBox for redundancy.

Another selling point may be that Photoshop is currently only released in Android at the moment, and expandable storage (or mass storage mode) is only available for Android also.
