Sweety anyone

No marque should be the purview of the faithful only, new blood is essential for the future. So Pentax do seem to be looking at new markets and new customers, and with a high degree of success I think.

Looking at the various Facebook pages I'm a member of, the general reception of the new colours has been very positive.
Best regards, John

The KS-1 isn't for me, but the 'sweety' colours suit it better than any colour combo I've seen so far, IMHO!

If it sells a camera that otherwise would not have been bought, then who can complain about that? However the Pentax name is expanded and awareness increased, it all adds up and can compound in future with the new generation of users upgrading and wanting to learn more about photography and the wider possibilities of a DSLR system.

Then of course we just need all the lenses, flashes, battery grips, remote controls, flash sync cables, eye cups, focussing screens ... all released in a range of sweety colours

So it's 'us' and 'them' ?!
Of course it is 'us' and 'them' - but you can decide which you are

'Us' being the faithful devotees of the Henry Ford colour palette

'Them' being the young trendy set who see life in a myriad of colours

OMG (as the trendy set would say) I have just depressed myself so much realising I have turned in to a grumpy old man I think I will have to go and shoot myself (Selfie?) - with a green and pink camera

All joking aside - horses for courses - if pink and white cameras float your boat - why not?

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

Black is good if you want your camera to be taken seriously but I still love my blue K30 and the images it produces.

Ok confession time! My K50 is white with a matching lens, and cool it looks too. black lenses work ok with it visually but I don't think that would be the same with the more lurid options. It also has a practical benefit in that the various knobs and markings are easy to read.

I've always thought white Pentaxes would be ideal for wedding photographers.
