I love swans, English waters just dont seem right without them.

A nice set

I'm not nearly experienced enough to give proper c&c ......

I find white can be difficult to photograph but I love the first photo - the simplicity, the soft background and the expression on the swan's face !

I think I would have cropped a little less closely, or if the photos weren't cropped, zoomed back a wee bit. It would give them a little more space !

What lens were you using ?

Hi Sally, thank you - 1, 2, 3 & 5 were experiments with the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8
#4 was taken on a different day with my Bigma.

BUT - they were all close to me, I shot as close up as possible, all are cropped a little though. My aim was to get the gleam in the eye

Exif below (forgot completely)

#1 - 1/500s, F7.1, ISO800, 200.0mm
#2 - 1/60s, F5.0, ISO200, 200.0mm
#3 - 1/880s, F7.1, ISO800, 200.0mm
#4 - 1/320s, F7.1, ISO800, 310.0mm
#5 - 1/250s, F7.1, ISO800, 200.0mm
