They are listening to me! Been saying for a while now that there are a good few uses for in body stabilisation and this was a biggie...

What does it all mean?
What is the point in linking to tweets in Japanese?

Firefox has the see translation but IE doesn't for me. I am assuming others do not have the option to translate, here is what it reads as when you can click the translate button.

Ricoh Imaging from the 12, CP+2015 a super-resolution by pixel shift technology announced. Olympus and a little different way but (details unknown), as well as use of sensor-shift shake reduction (SR), pixel shift like that.

The technology seems to be with new models will be announced later this year. CP + is a haste, then that will hear it more in Mr./Ms. Kitazawa. Also unveils a full-size SLR with-I but it's nice to hear say can say.
My Flickr account, constructive criticism welcome.

There are some very exciting possibilities in this sort of technology.

New to pentax, but once again already being implemented with excellent results by others.

Couldnt be implemented by Pentax or anyone else until Hasselblads Patent ran out on them, and it was quite a broad spectrum patent. As soon as that was up Olympus pounced on it, Pentax it seems second but first with so called "FF".
I'd like to see it in a firmware upgrade fro the K3, since it has the required control over the sensor movement but maybe not the pixel crunching grunt in the memory dep't? Unless replaced at CP+ , which is a good half a year early, I suspect that the K3 may be top of the APSC tree for a bit yet, not much need to upgrade it as there really is not much competition for it

You can obtain similar results in software..... NOW!

The demo looks quite good doesn't expire, but watermarks the shots.

Looks to have been around since 2007 now on v3.

If the new FF sensor achieves its high resolution by moving the sensor then all bets are off!
It could be phenomenal, with detail AND sensitivity.

It won't do anything to improve the resolution of the lenses which all fall off towards the edges and centres. Some are very poor.

The best/only way to improve that is take small panos of 3 to 6 shots. Trim the edges slightly and merge them in pano software.
