I'm not a great fan of sunsets/sunrises, but I do like the first. Nice bit of foreground with the sheep

She must be a marvelous partner to let you faff around on her birthday to the extent of acquiring those lovely pictures (and all those that went into the bin). My vote is also for the first one.

This is not meant to be nasty, but let's be honest.
All three photos are poor, the subject is in the centre (never heard of the rule of thirds?) as a result I find them boring.
Having said that, I am probably just as guilty with some of my efforts.

Yes I have heard of the rule of thirds, and to insinuate I do not know this rule is a bit insulting.... and for your imformation all of them are based on thirds.
Also... photogrpahy is an art form. There are those of us who stick to tried tested rules... and there are those of us who throw the rule book out the window, and play. I threw the rule book out the window donkeys years ago....
Not everyone likes the result of such playing, but I love it. Someone who can think outside the box and be different gets my vote always. I also shoot by this principle.

As I said, I wasn't being nasty, I find them boring the sun centred to much darkness. Boring photos so well done for throwing the rule book out of the window.
Learn to take constructive critcism.

I know you are not being nasty, because if you were my response would've got me banned! , but.... if you don't mind me saying this. You did not give constructive critism at all. You asked if I had not heard of thirds, which I used used.
If I was gonna do that I would point out lots of ideas, and say try this or try that, blah blah blah, waffle...
Fair enough you think they are boring, and you probably don't like them. I can accept that and live with it. Each to their own. If you wanna be constructive, be more inspirational. Give more guidance, throw ideas at people, spark lateral thinking, take someone on a journey of creation.....
Also the front of my lens had a traffic jam of different filters on it! I probably shudda mentioned this. I was playing with filters...
It would've then prevented all this stroppyness (this is joke )
Also, if you will indulge me.... i was using filters to to bring out different textures and highlights in the clouds and sea. Then there is the distant land shrouded in haze. I could see all this with my eyes, and I aimed at recreating what I saw.... if anything.... the sun is a secondary subject. If I was gonna be main subject, I would not have used a 20mm lens!
