It was the "/" in the title - the forum software doesn't like them, but I see one of the mods has changed it now

Seems to be limited to UK post codes. Not much use to the rest of the world. Thanks anyway.

Peter you can get them for the rest of the world -I did for not only my town but my house! On the left hand side you can click on from world map and zoom right in on where you live then get the tables.

Are you all being sarky or is it April the first already ..... maybe we don't see the sun much in the UK, but when you resort to compasses and lists of when it should be visible.... it's time you either stayed indoors or got out more I mean your not exactly looking for a comet

shim

PS Some weather forecast sites tell you how long the Sun was visible the day before...... just in case you didn't find it

Thing is this Shim, i got up at 5am this morning because the site told me the sun would rise at 7am. Why bother guessing when it takes 30 seconds on the web? Off course you are not use to the sun over in Liverpool, perhaps you should move to chester?

You know what they say on Merseyside..... Red Sky at Night Means Birkenhead's on FIRE!

I've got a little program called Clockwise running in my tray that gives me all that kind of information. It's also on a digital clock/weather centre I've got.

One very good program that I haven't got on my computer at present is Atomic Clock which actually shows a World Map on the screen with the sun actually rising and setting in real time showing the areas of light and shade... quite good to watch. I think it was v6, but later versions probably have it.

If knowing when the sun rises and sets is nowhere near anoraky enough for you...... You need to know how long the shadows cast by buildings, telephone poles or even yourgoodself are so that you are not included in the picture check out this program even gives the angles of shadows.
