Lovely sense of space, Kris. And it highlights one of the more interesting things about photography, in my mind: simply walking through this type of country is generally of little interest to me - I find the flatness boring. Yet, if I have my camera (or if I see a well-thought image such as yours), it all of a sudden becomes a place of infinite possibilities, both meditative and awe-inspiring. There's definitely something magical in this passion of ours.

A fascinating picture. Every time I look at it, my eye immediately lands on the near-circular hole in the cloud (if you can't see it, don't look or you'll never be able to look at the picture in the same again!). Crop below the hole and the eye is drawn along the drain into the distance. Leave the hole in the picture and the drain becomes an accompaniment to the cloud and hole. Very strange!
