Surely they should have realised they'd have been better off just buying a Pentax camera to put on that lens!

Ah but they ALWAYS could, theres plenty of Pentax to Canon adaptors out there Actually I wonder if this is one reason that Pentax have persevered with the K mount, because it adapts to wider mounts easier?
