I never Through I would say this I started up Photography to get me put the house have some fun walking around the countryside going on holidays and enjoying what I see and to put some of the Beautiful things that I see on to film.
What I have come across is unbelievable rudeness snobbery and just some plan ignorance who do these people think there are. I understand that comments are made on the photos that are on the site but I think instead of putting stupid comments on try putting constructive and helpful comments.

I have no idea to what you are referring, but in a general sense comments should be constructive, helpful and courteous. See the guidelines.

This is not the same as not liking something, but if that's the case explain why in a courteous, helpful and contructive way.
Best regards, John

Your choice Puma - but I have had nothing but friendship and good advice given to me here.

I came as someone who had not yet got her DSLR

Since then I've learnt lots , been given invaluable advice and don't see that stopping in the future.
let the education continue

I've had a look at your posts and cannot find anything that suggests people have been rude to you.

If you wanrt to close your membership I can deactivate your account, although I'm not sure what prompts you to need me to do that.

Alternatively, you can just watch for a while until you see for yourself that this is actually a very friendly site. You don't have to post replies if you don't want to, but you're welcome to do so should you wish.

OK. Not sure if this is relevant, but on your last photo added to the gallery, (a stationary steam engine with some workmen leaning against it), I might have made the observation that they resemble our Australian council workers. That particular comment was meant in jest. A joke. If that one caused offence, then I do apologise. I only comment on a photo when I really like, or dislike it. That one, I liked. But the fact remains, FOR ME, I'd rather see those two blokes doing something, rather than leaning on the machinery. The black and white conversion was great, as was the general subject. The bottom line is, when we post images on the gallery, we have to expect negative comments. Positive comments are a bonus. I look forward to seeing more of your work on the gallery, with more CONSTRUCTIVE comments next time.

I had a look at Puma's gallery earlier, and I thought I saw a comment there against his image of the moon that may have caused this reaction?

Phew, that's a relief. Sometimes this whacky Aussie sense-of -humour thing gets me into trouble. I've come out from under the table now.
