Was just about to post that myself! One of the finest 'new' portfolios I have seen for a long time.
It makes you wonder how many wonderful photographs will be lost, simply because they are sitting in film sleeves in a forgotten place?

What a wonderful mix, and a great story.
It is true he is recording humanity - and history. You will never again see UK children playing in the streets and being so wonderfully carefree and filthy as those children in the 60s. Even if their lives were ones of terrible living conditions and grinding poverty they could escape for a while into their own play world on the street.

Just watched it on BBC too and was going to post a link here but you all beat me to it.
Generally speaking I've not a street photography fan but David Peat's work in that clip is great.

Some very evocative images from a time lost some would say to progress.
For me something to aspire to. A reminder that photography for me is about freezing a moment in history no matter how insignificant.
The interesting thing is that these images are unique and original because they are literally snapshots in time. the point of interest is the subject and not the technique. They are not defined by the technology used or the post processing applied.

I know BW street photography seems to be fashionable at the moment but for once I am happy to follow the fashion! I love this stuff. Thanks for the link, a lovely presentation. Shame the exhibition is so far away from me.
