Actually the question was how to store 'processed RAW' which means the resultant exported JPG or TIFF images.The original question was essentially how do you store your RAW files, and do you store the settings you used to process them.

Nothing is written to the RAW file but your edits etc are written to the *.lrcat (an SQLite file) - which the OP lost.
I store my (kept) exported images on flickr and on a different HDD.
I keep my RAWs on three backup drives which I sync once a month from the master backup to the other two.
I don't backup my LR catalogs because I don't use LR in that way. I empty the cat' after every development session.
