Step up rings - query
The lens is 52mm if the DOI has a 52mm thread it should fit.
I'm confused now.

Just a wild thought :- Is it at all possible that the flash thread is imperial not metric

The first ring on the threaded bit on the flash is a series 7-55mm so I need to get a series 7- 52mm, They're not cheap are they.
Thanks again,
Kind regards

Any reason why you can't use a 55/52 step down ring?
If, however, it's a Series VII 52mm you want, there's a new one on evilbay - Item number: 250846426659 - £6.69 delivered

They can be. I bought a new 52mm adapter by mistake and had zero response in the classifieds. Might as well go to a good home. If you PM me your address, I'd be happy to pop it in the post. If it fits, great. If not, it'll be adding to your clutter instead of mine

Somewhere else.
I recently bought a DIO ring flash which came with two step up rings.
Unfortunately neither of them fit my lenses. I have been using the flash by holding it in front of the lens by hand, (I started using rubber bands but that was too loose) which isn't ideal because it then only gives me one hand to hold and balance the camera. I think I'm losing detail in my photos because of this.
My question is, if I buy a set of step up rings, are they all the same thread size? Or do I need to buy a special type to go with this flash?
Many thanks,
Charlotte
