Good shots, I didn't realise how tame they can be until I saw
them on Autumnwatch a couple of weeks ago.

Everyone knows, don't they, that all our common birds in this country are boring L.B.Js (Little brown jobs)?
Well, not anymore, they don't!!
Wonderful images, Mike.
Thanks for letting us see!

Hi Mike
Excellent shots
The last one is just stunning - a shot to be proud of.
I never seem to get that close to wildlife - I seem to scare them off
I'll try to forget these shots otherwise mine stand a real chance of not making the grade
I'm off to resarch some starling behaviour

Mike, your first shot is the pick of the bunch, it's a nicely composed photograph of a very common bird. With this image you have showed us how attractive and colourful these birds actually are, with they're ornate plumage and such.
All it needs more is some 'dodging' of the catchlight in it's eye.

Wait till you see the pictures of the starling on the wing mirror while we are doing 110 down the motorway.

It then decided to perch on the wing mirror of the car we were sitting in so changed lenses to the Tamron 90mm macro.
