Some of the items will be commission sales, so the seller sets the price. Other items will have been traded in to SRS, so SRS set the price.

Age and shutter count may be factors as well as condition?

I would imagine, as time goes on, that the colour of the item may well be a factor too (given some of the hideous colours I've seen the K-x in!).
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Not so sure about colour. Think about it, I doubt the multicoloured K-x will have sold as well as the plain black ones, and of the colours the red and white will presumably be the most common as they were available for longer than the others. I suspect you may find that the hideous ones are actually more valuable in years to come due to their rarity.

As I said, the colour may well be a factor

Guarantee is the other factor to consider with the likes of SRS, I am sure Chris is meticulous in his descriptions, the last thing he wants is a product reeturned as it was mis-described....I guess he will do Grays trick of understating the condition of many of his products slightly.

I was trawling through SRS's used equipment section looking for potential lens bargains recently, and have got a bit confused by the stated equipment condition in relation to the asking prices and the explanation on the website.
For example, they have a few K7 bodies available, it would seem from the website's explanation that mint- is a better condition but some of the excellent++ ones have higher asking prices. Are there other factors besides condition for pricing up their used kit?
