Well decided to take the plunge and have just ordered a DA* 300mm and a Metz 58 flashgun from SRS . I’m off work for a week so should get time to try them out with my K10, no doubt the waterproofing on the DA* will come is useful – every time I take a holiday it usually rains.

As promised the DA* 300mm and flash arrived today at 8:30am , unfortunately the rain arrived at around 9am
So I haven’t had much time to play with the lens yet (the camera and lens may be weather proof but I’m not) – just got one or two shots in the garden between showers.
The focus speed and accuracy is impressive, looks like I will have to start saving for some more SDM lenses.
