srs discount question -

I seem to remember getting a little discount or free postage on the last stuff i ordered lot long back; I cant remember which it was? anyway i was going to order some more stuff from srs and was wandering if anyone knew what the discount was and what procedure we follow

Ordered on the web and added note of forum name still charged p/p.
Have queried this with srs awaiting reply of "what I did wrong"

I phoned my 1st and only order (so far) to SRS. I cant remember the name of the chap with whom I dealt, but when I mentioned my forum name and number, there was no hesitation in deducting the P&P charges. My new K-5 arrived within 2 days.

All in all, excellent service. I shall be placing another order with them very soon.

PS - I also find it much more "human" to talk to someone rather than do everything on-line.

If I lived in Watford I'd talk "Face to Face". I use online ordering because I am deaf so a telephone is pretty useless. I do have a mobile phone which I can use for text and email.

Immediate return email from SRS informing me of a refund of postage. Perhaps in future I'll get some one to telephone for me.

Stan - I always deal with SRS on the web. They are always helpful and efficient even with such an impersonal medium. I wouldn't worry to much about getting someone to phone for you.

Any important telephone business is conducted by my wife, I often have to just go on the phone and authourise it, I just hope the person on the other end has stopped talking long enough for me to say "It's OK" then hand her the phone back. It can be quite funny sometimes
What did annoy me was some one implying (using bold type) that the ONLY way to order was by telephone, seems the sort that would tell a blind person "Well It's Been on TV"
