SRS appreciation thread

I think i did one of these a while back but they are well deserving of another I phoned SRS last week as i had a wedding to do this weekend and a nightclub gig next weekend (for not very much money, my tentative first steps towards making some money from my work)

I arranged to borrow a Pentax 10-17mm Fisheye from them, as well as a decent flash. For over a weeks rental, i paid just £109 with no extra costs for delivery. I received, on Friday morning, a beautiful brand new 10-17 and flash - it really was lovely being able to play with new kit and i got some fabulous shots for my friends and for my new portfolio which hopefully will propel me to the realm of 'earning money' soon

Really fantastic, great service, great guys and wonderful equipment

Highly recommend them to anyone and everyone, they are the Pentax owners best friend!

So after the intial shock of the slow focusing 50-135mm how are you finding the K-5 compared to the D700 Feeb?

In a word... LIGHTER!! lol

the pictures i take are just as good i would say, and i can get around with it more because it is so much less weight to carry around. Been great My neck agrees!

Blimey, someone needs to relax a bit! There are so many more things in the world to be upset about Steve... wasting your time bringing people down who are other wise in a good mood = pointless waste of energy

p.s if there are too many, have a SRS appreciation sticky, then the scrooges can ignore it and all us impressed people will post in the same place

Well the one being a sticky in this section (Recommended suppliers of equipment) SRS gets mention a lot already.
But if i might be so frank i'm with bretbysteve, we all know that SRS is good but hearing that every time it almost looks like we are kissing their behinds... so lets draw a line somewhere shall we, it's quite a trip from here to London

If you're feeling pleased with SRS there's no reason why you can't say so. I feel pleased with SRS too - every purchase I make there is a pleasure and Chris and his team have always been very helpful.
Best regards, John

Nice to hear that SRS have a good Pentax hire department
I can't see any reason to keep quiet about that

I'll add my support of SRS. Superb service!!!

Chris replaced my original K-5 ( which had bad AF in low light problems ) on a courier swap basis. Whole thing took 1 minute!!!

I was happy 2 days later to purchase a 2nd K-5 from SRS.

Highly recommended!!

Purchased my Samyang from them, they were the cheapest and when the lens was delivered much to my surprise it was the "A" version! Excellent packaging too.

I wonder if SRS have a Pentaxuser forum member appreciation column as we purchase loads from them ( I have as well and they are excellent.)

SRS do indeed have oustanding service, but I'm not sure that "seller fulfils legal obligation to replace faulty item" can really be regarded as an example of it

Well the way and manner in which the 'seller fulfilled the legal obligation to replace faulty item' was certainly an excellent example.

I've heard stories of people being without their K-5 for weeks while waiting to get a replacement.

Chris took my word that the camera was faulty and replaced it immediately. I didn't have to send it back and have it checked and wait ages.

Superb service!!
