That lens has a lovely bokeh

Spring has well and truely sprung ! Thanks for a nice overview and welcome to the season with this set. I agree on the bokeh, very smooth and it evens out any hotspots nicely. I'm assuming this is a Sigma zoom?

You've done especially well to get the little birds so close and nicely set in their surroundings ... No 3 catches a great moment and angle.

The flower compositions work well also.

Nos 1 and 4 are best from an exposure point of view. The others I feel are overexposed, losing detail and colour tone on the subjects (I think these tones would all benefit from a lower exposure, maybe 0.7 to 1 stop less (?)) How were you metering these ?

One and four best for exposure control and highlight detail retention.

I'm interested you chose F13 for this particular lens. I personally use TAV and try to stay in F8 to F11 for my telephoto using 300 star and adapter, light permitting of course which is the true joy of this season.

This was with the Sigma 150-500 zoom, with the K5 on tav shutter mode.
It was set to /500th. at f8.
It has happened before, however, that, in the "heat of battle", fingers brush by the shutter & shutter speed dials & I end up with an exposure I hadn't planned.....

I'll try a little selective levels adjustment to adjust the blown highlights shots & get back to you!

P.s., how did you get the exif? Not that I wanted to hide it but I didn't think it came with an image posted on Your Photos.....?

I use FxIf, one of the many free plugins for the excellent Firefox, suggested on here. Once installed you just right click and select FxIf Data from the menu and a window with Exif info opens up. I like to see photos exported with data as it is excellent for learning the process in use.
