Hi,

I am studying all the metz 58 flash details from the manual. One of the features I have never used is this spot beam mode. I have tried, but nothing happens...what is it? What is supposed to happen?

If it means the same as on an Pentax AF540, it's simply the autofocus assist. So no flash, just AF assist only.

Useful if the AF assist of the camera does not have enough reach and you don't want to flash.
