Spider number 2

I like this much better Vic, it's nice to see the spider in its natural environment.
I think you are on the right track, just keep practicing at it! This one is sharp in the right places, the background is natural with good colours and the insect stands out well.
There are a couple of things I think you could look at; the shot is from underneath the spider so it's not possible to see the eyes and also there's a fair amount of noise in the image background, not sure what ISO was used but I'm guessing it might be quite high?
There's always a difficult balance to find when shooting macro, you need a decent shutter speed but often the light is not very good, especially as we draw nearer to Winter! Did you use any flash? If not, it might be worth giving it a go, especially if you can diffuse it.
Thanks for posting this image, I hope I've not been too harsh!
Regards
David

A lot better this Vic, well done Mate As David says really, try and get the eyes of the beast and a uniform background. Just keep at it Mate, you have all the gear you need in the IIs and 90mm Tamron, maybe get a good little torch to add more light so you can drop the iso for a cleaner shot, though with the IIs that's not really a problem is it!, it can also be used for more creative lighting to, I have £2 led torch I bought from the post office in my pocket when I'm playing out with my 105
One day you'll find, 10yrs have got behind you.

Do you both think that this setup might help a bit.
I tried with natural light but it was a bit dull last evening.
Yes my ISO was a bit high because it was dull hence the noise.
BUT I AM LEARNING SLOWLY BUT SURELY.
CHEERS Vic.
OOPS. I'll turn it round
