Something's wrong here...

Previously:
- Take picture in RAW PEF.
- Convert to TIFF etc.
- EXIF Information accessible, image editable and so on.

Now:
- Take picture in RAW PEF.
- I can copy the files from the card.

Problems:
- I can view the images in PhotoBrowser but there is no EXIF as before.
- When I try to open them in PhotoLab, it says "Cannot write to file" and doesn't open the file.
- When I try to Auto-Process, same message.
- When I try to "Save as JPEG" it asks for a filename and destination folder, but does absolutely nothing.
- When I shoot RAW + JPEG, the JPG file shows the EXIF data on the PC, but the PEF doesn't.

Now I know the EXIF for the PEF's is in there somewhere, because reviewing the images in-camera, it shows applicable information.

I have eliminated the SD card as the source of the problem because it does the same thing with different cards.

What do you (the highly respectable and intelligent Pentax populace) suppose the problem is?
Any ideas?

And I forgot to mention as well that I just recently changed my colour space from sRGB to AdobeRGB...

I had a silly that sounds a bit like this. Had got what i thought was latest versions downloaded from Pentax. Worked fine with *istD. However using the K10D - no EXIF data/ wouldn't open in PhotoLab.

I deleted Browser and Lab, and then re-installed using the CD that came with camera. Works fine now.

Hope that helps

Have you downloaded the latest versions of Photo Browser and Laboratory from the internet? They are on the japanse pentax site.

That might help.

Bear in mind that PEF files are not all the same. A program that will read a *istD PEF will not necessarily read a K10D PEF.

Thanks Andy.

That sorted me out.
I had some pics from Seattle and didn't want to lose them.
