Something Different in B&W

Coming back late yesterday from the World Expo, again - this time after playing tour guide and entertaining some Czech friends / clients of my wife's (and having some wonderful Czech food at the Czech Pavilion !) I spotted this couple coming down the opposite side of the escalator.

Poorly lit, no flash, 1,600 at 2.8 (43 Ltd) 1/200, and it was a very noisy shot. However I wasn't prepared to bin it as I liked the subject matter so much ! What do you think ? Does this work for anyone ?

I wonder if you have processed it too much ? I would love to see the original, even if it is a bit noisy. Subject matter is great.

Thank you for your comments Peter.

You may be right and I've over processed it a bit - her face was extremely noisy so I used Nik's Define to specifically adjust noise reduction for that aspect of the shot. On another forum someone suggested adding a bit of grain to remove the smoothness from her face (however many Chinese women do have remarkably smooth skin) !
