1 & 2 for me as it brings back scary nightmares of flying in Piper aircraft in my younger days

Great colours, cool shutter speed for the propellor speed blur and nice and crisp.
For me though the first three are just planes in clear sky with no context or sense of where they are. Therefore for that reason the last one is by far the best for me.

I totally agree Smeggy, I don't find these sort of shots particularly interesting aesthetically either where there is no context, and the last one was an attempt to add a bit more interest. I also quite liked the first one as the pilot in the Piper spotted me and smiled out the window on each pass This was mostly a technical exercise and the second outing to see how the K3 performed with long lenses on moving subjects compared to the K20D, and to see if I need to adapt my technique or approach before the motorsport season gets underway. So far I am happy to continue with my usual technique of centre spot AFC, single shot; the K3 just locks focus on what you point it at. By far the biggest issue is camera shake having to shoot at 1/200 or less to preserve the prop motion. Despite usually shooting at even slower speeds for motorsport panning shots (1/60 to 1/125) I find that easier since the direction of travel is more predictable (no vertical movement) which generally makes it easier to pan smoothly.Great colours, cool shutter speed for the propellor speed blur and nice and crisp.

All with K3 and DA*300 (except the Pitts which is the Sigma 150-500 @ 440mm), shot at ISO100 and 1/200th.
