Some macros while bored

I am waiting for my stepping ring to arrive so I can try out the butchered lens set-up. Meanwhile, as it was a boring slow day I decided to try out some of my existing equipment. These are either my S-M-C Takumar 28mm f/3.5 lens reverse onto my SMC Pentax-M 100mm f/2.8 lens, or my SMC Pentax-M 28mm f/3.5 lens reversed (using a Pentax 49mm reversing ring). The former set-up allows very close focusing but with heavy vignetting, the latter less extreme close-ups but no vignetting. The last image was taken with the SMC Pentax-M 100mm f/2.8 lens on its own.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Very impressed with these Kris. Why spend silly money on new, modern macro lenses when all one needs is the know how, technique and skill. So very well demonstrated here.

Best regards
